A l'époque actuelle, alors que la xénophobie connaît à nouveau une montée considérable, il est d'autant plus important de montrer que nous sommes tous des créatures humaines vivant sur cette terre, indépendamment de notre origine, de la couleur de notre peau ou de notre appartenance religieuse. Nous sommes tous différents, et c'est formidable – c'est justement ça qui rend si riche notre monde. Nous sommes des êtres humains qu'il importe de traiter, tous et sans exception, avec dignité. Chaque personne est importante, forte et fière, quelle que soit ses racines. Chacun est constitué d'eau, d'os, de tissus, de sang, de cellules, possède un cerveau, un cœur et une âme. Nous nous ressemblons, et pourtant chacun d'entre nous est unique et doté de sa propre personnalité. Chacun doit bénéficier du plus grand respect. Chaque individu fait partie de la communauté mondiale, l'intolérance envers autrui est inadmissible.

J'appelle à la dignité humaine, à la liberté et à une coexistence pacifique. Les murs qui nous séparent de notre prochain doivent être démolis, des barrières doivent être levées. Nous devons donner la main à notre voisin, peu importe le dieu avec lequel il s'entretient ou s'il parle aux arbres ou aux truites. Nous sommes tous nés dans l'eau et avons besoin de l'air pour respirer. Le ciel constitue notre toit commun en-dessous duquel chaque âme peut trouver protection, vivre librement et s'épanouir.

In der heutigen Zeit, in welcher die Fremdenfeindlichkeit wieder stark zunimmt, ist es umso wichtiger aufzuzeigen, dass wir alle menschliche Kreaturen sind, die auf dieser Erde leben, unabhängig von unserer Herkunft, unserer Hautfarbe oder unserer Religionszugehörigkeit. Wir sind alle verschieden, und das ist wunderbar so – gerade dies macht unsere Welt so reich. Wir sind Menschen, die es gilt, mit Würde zu behandeln, und zwar alle und ohne Ausnahme. Jede Person ist wichtig, stark und stolz, egal wo ihre Wurzeln liegen. Jeder besteht aus Wasser, Knochen, Gewebe, Blut, Zellen, besitzt ein Gehirn, ein Herz und eine Seele. Wir ähneln uns, und doch ist jeder von uns einzigartig und zeichnet sich durch seine eigene Persönlichkeit aus. Jeder hat Anspruch auf größten Respekt. Jeder Einzelne gehört zur Weltgemeinschaft, Intoleranz dem anderen gegenüber ist untragbar.

Ich appelliere an die menschliche Würde, an die Freiheit und an ein friedliches Zusammenleben. Die Mauern, die uns von unseren Mitmenschen trennen, müssen abgerissen, Schranken beseitigt werden. Wir müssen unserem Nachbarn die Hand geben, egal mit welchem Gott er sich unterhält oder ob er mit Bäumen oder Forellen spricht. Wir sind alle im Wasser geboren und brauchen Luft zum Atmen. Der Himmel bildet unser gemeinsames Dach, unter dem jede Seele Schutz finden, frei leben und sich entfalten kann.

Nowadays, whereas xenophobia knows a new considerable rising, it is even more important to show that we all are human beings living on that planet, independently from our origin, the colour of our skin or our religious beliefs. We are all different, and it is amazing – this is what makes our world this rich. We are human beings that are important to be treated, each and every one, with dignity. Each person is important, strong and proud, wherever its roots lie. Everyone is made of water, bones, tissues, blood, cells, has a brain, a heart and a soul. We look alike, but every one of us is unique and has their own personality. Every one deserves the biggest of respects. Each individual belongs to the worldwide community, intolerance towards others is unacceptable.

I call out to human dignity, to freedom and to a pacific coexistence. The walls that separate us from each other have to be demolished, barriers need to come down. We have to hold our neighbour’s hand, no matter which god they speak with, or if they talk to trees or trouts. We were all born in water and need air to breathe. The sky is our common roof below which each soul can find protection, live freely and light up.
